Would like to second hlewton and Viking 33’s endorsements of Roxio Go Back Deluxe with the XP compatible patch available from Roxio’s website as significantly helpful and in a head on contest with System Restore much more effective. If the above doesn’t work, let me know and I will try it out on my system for the 8 gigs. If there is some other space limitation, I’m not aware of it. I would do a search in the registry for any mention of Roxio or Goback and dump them all…….Then try a custom install from scratch to go for the larger space. If you really want to insure its all gone, Also check your root directory and make sure that the gobackio.bin file is deleted. I would recommend you try again to unistall GB with the add remove programs in Device Manager, then go to Windows Explorer and make sure the entire With custom install, you will be prompted for drive and space allocation” Thus, you may individually allocate space and/or choose to install GoBack on each physical drive. GoBAck will restore the entire physical HD, not just one partition) However, if you have more than one HD then each is independently managed. If you have multiple partitions on a single HD then the amount of space you specify applies to ALL the partitions collectively (i.e. “Custom install lets you choose the amount of HD space you want allocated to GoBack. The only other thing of possible use is a quote from the custom install portion of the manual: When the custom setup Wizard- GoBack Space Allocation box comes up, there should be a field to enter the desired size in MB. They do say that a custom install is the only way to modify the default space allocation of the “recommended” 10% of the HD. Purchasedownload so no other printed manual. I did a double check in the original manual that I have for V2.1(which was when GB was owned by Wildfire out of MN.) I got my other updates from on line
